This acupressure technique is specifically designed to stimulate appetite and improve digestion, with notable effectiveness in children. The method involves a combination of longitudinal strokes and point-specific pressure along the back.

Have the patient lie face down (prone position) on a comfortable, firm surface.

The area for massage is located 1.5 inches lateral to the spine (measuring from the center of the spine). The vertical range extends from the lower edge of the shoulder blades down to just below the third lumbar vertebra.
